About This Product

French: Find Someone Who Activity: Est-ce que tu as déjà…? is a fascinating tool designed particularly for secondary school students, taking French levels 2 and 3, to improve their speaking skills. This activity revolves around the theme: L'AÉROPORT ET LA GARE - the airport and train station.

The package contains two PDFs—

  • The first one is a grid that can be printed out serving as an interactive guide for each student. The grid features sixteen squares; each holds a unique question along with sufficient space to note down a classmate's name in response.
  • The guidelines are easy-to-understand—students move around the classroom asking their classmates questions stated on their sheets. If they get an 'OUI', they write that person’s name in the corresponding square. But complete sentences are always encouraged even if they get 'NON’ answers to deepen language absorption.

This exercise doesn't end until all squares are filled with names. Following this, students can hand over their completed grids either for review or grading as you like.

Besides exercising communication abilities, interesting crafted questions also push learners by requiring them to use passé composé tense during questioning- thereby offering comprehensive practice. They’ll have to use both AVOIR and ÊTRE as auxiliary verbs during questioning.

Beyond academic merits of this resource, this activity also builds fellowship amongst young learners by facilitating culturally immersive contests through revealing clasmates' interesting facts while empowering them audibly express themselves using Francophone phrases.

This tactic presents learning in an implicit way making it suitable
  • For whole-class activities where participants can interactively question each other leading towards cognitive exchange,
  • Or splitting into smaller cooperative groups, with each group racing to finish first,
  • Or even as individual take-home assignments encouraging creative translation.
Prepare your pupils for situations beyond just textbook exams, but realistic scenarios they might encounter while travelling. Indeed French: Find Someone Who Activity: Est-ce que tu as déjà…? makes learning French both an entertaining and stimulating endeavour.
