French: Storyboard Lab Activity

Storyboard:  Allons au Marché!

This is a listening activity, to improve or assess comprehension skills.

If you have access to a language lab:  

Pre-record the following sentences (in French), using your own voice, so that your students can rewind and repeat as many times as they need to.  Give each student a copy of the storyboard template (scroll down).  Students listen to the 15 pre-recorded sentences and illustrate what they hear.  If you like, you can have them also take advantage of this assignment to do a dictée.  There is space underneath each square to write the words.

If you don’t have access to a language lab:

Modify the instructions above by reading each sentence aloud for the whole class.  Repeat as often as you deem necessary.

Additional idea:

Create a pod-cast and send it as an MP3 file.  Assign it for homework.
