About This Product
πͺπΈ Halloween Spanish Number Domino Game
Numbers and Number Words 0β30
This Halloween-themed domino game gives students a playful way to practice Spanish numbers from 0 to 30. I started using it with a mixed-level class where some students were still learning basic counting, while others were already comfortable with larger numbers. The game format made it possible for everyone to join in, and the seasonal design added a bit of fun to the lesson.
There are two different sets included, with a total of 68 domino cards. One set shows numbers with the full Spanish number words, while the second set breaks the words into syllables. The syllable version works well for early readers or students who need extra support with pronunciation. I found it especially useful for words like diecinueve or veintisiete, where students often get stuck.
The game can be adjusted depending on the level of the group. You can play with just 0β10 for beginners, 0β20 for extra practice, or the full 0β30 for more of a challenge. Having these options means the same resource can be used in different grades or for different ability levels without extra preparation.
To play, students take turns placing their dominoes so that numbers and number words match. The activity works at tables, in small groups, or even on the floor if you want to add some movement. I sometimes let teams race to build the longest chain, which adds a bit of excitement. Others prefer to play slowly and check each word carefully, which turns it into a review activity.
This domino set fits well into Spanish lessons, bilingual classrooms, or even math centers with a language focus. It supports number recognition, word reading, and cooperative play. Preparation is minimal: print the cards, cut them out, and laminate them if you want to use them again next year. Once ready, they store easily in a small box or envelope.
All cards are in Spanish, and teacher instructions are provided in English / Spanish.
