Heavy work activities provide organization for the nervous system by giving sensory input to the body that is both calming and alerting at the same time.

The following activities provide a multitude of sensory input (movement, tactile, and proprioceptive) and emphasize the use of resistance and heavy work to the body to promote organization and calm for the nervous system.
