IDIOMS and their Meanings Task Cards with Power Point Slides
About This Product
The cat is out of the bag! This ELA task card and Power Point slides combination will make a great addition to your figurative language lessons. They are perfect for a mid-unit practice activity or as a review assignment for your grade 4 and grade 5 learners. Throughout each of the 20 cards and corresponding slides, learners will choose from two options to identify the meanings of popular idioms. The cards include fun, relevant graphics to add a visual aid for learners who might struggle with figurative language concepts. Whether you have used task cards in the past or this is your first time incorporating them into your curriculum, you’re sure to find this product a benefit for you and your learners. They can help break the monotony of seat work by creating an activity that can be used indoors or outdoors. Display them in a designated area and let your learners be on the move as they engage their bodies and minds to complete each card. Use the Power Point slides to create a learning game or assessment for the whole class. They also work well as a bell ringer activity over a one-week period. As you glance through the previews, you’ll notice the task cards are available in a color format, as well as a black & white format. Both sets are identical. Included with the cards is an answer recording sheet. It was designed in such a way as to reduce the amount of ink/toner you’ll use during printing or copying because each recording sheet comes two to a page. Also, for your convenience, an answer key is provided. The 20 Power Point slides were created as one task card per slide and are available in full color. Below you’ll find the details of each card and accompanying pages of this product.
