Insects and Bugs word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this insects and bugs puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our spring science unit. The kids loved going outside to look for ants and ladybugs but got bored fast when we tried to review the vocabulary inside. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like butterfly, grasshopper, beetle, caterpillar, spider, firefly, and antenna. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to keep them engaged.

⭐The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search is good for quiet time after lunch. The scramble gets them arguing about how to spell "caterpillar" which is fine because they're still learning it. The crossword I save for partners. I added a couple tiny bug drawings but nothing too distracting.

⭐Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers draw their favorite bug on the back and label one body part. The kids actually ask for these now.
