Line Plots: Graphing Measurements Packet

Teaching students about data is great skill because they get to look at information in a new way. Analyzing and compiling data requires critical thinking skills from our math students. We want to ensure we have interactive practice opportunities to help students connect the dots. This resource can do just that!

This is a Line Plots: Graphing Measurements Packet. This was designed for 2nd and 3rd grade students.

It follows the common core standards for 2nd grade (2.MD.D.9) and 3rd grade (3.MD.B.4).

Students will practice measuring inches and centimeters. They will measure different objects from page to page and plot the measurements on the line plots. After students have recorded their data on the line plot, they will answer questions using their graphs.

--Graphing Test

You may choose to have students complete one set of graphs in partners or small groups or as a whole group with the teacher.

Answer keys are included.
