Metric Conversions Puzzle for Student Practice
About This Product
A fun activity for students to practice metric conversions. The puzzle is a 4 by 4 grid of squares. Each side of the square has a number in metric form. Students will match sides with equivalent numbers that use a different unit of metric measure. The skill students will use to solve the puzzle correspond to Common Core Standards:
Each square has a letter in the middle and the teacher answer key shows the letters only. This makes for a quick check of student's accuracy. Have students to cut out the puzzle. Assign them each a unique number to place on the back of every puzzle piece. (this is for pieces found on the floor, you will know to which bag they belong). They will then mix the pieces and place them in a plastic bag. Have students to exchange baggies and then complete the puzzle. As you walk around to monitor your unique answer key allows you to tell quickly if students are correct as they work. This is a PDF file.
