Pop Art Shoes (Andy Warhol)

I teach this lesson to my 4th graders and they enjoy learning about Andy Warhol and they absolutely LOVE getting to draw their own shoe! I would recommend this exciting art project for grades 4th and up. Students will learn how to draw using a reference and how to use a variety of color schemes. What materials should I prepare?

Prepare a shoe reference, pencil, eraser, an ultra-fine black marker, crayons or colored pencils, scissors, glue and black construction paper. The presentation calls for photocopies of each completed line drawing before students color and mount four versions.
