Pumpkin Fine Motor Activity with Playdough
About This Product
Get those fingers working with these Pumpkin Fine Motor Playdough mats. Students will be challenged to use playdough to build different kinds of pumpkins.
What is included:
There are four different playdough for students to build pumpkins. Three of the mats have students building a pumpkin outline and one mat has students making seeds and pulp to show what is inside a pumpkin.
How to Use:
Students will choose one of the pumpkin themed mats. They will use the colored playdough and create the same object that is on the mat. Students can build on top of the mats or on the table.
When to Use:
Fine Motor Center - The mats can be placed in a fine motor center for students to complete together or with a partner during center time.
Morning Tubs - These mats can be put inside a morning basket for students to work on while waiting for classmates to arrive to class.
Quiet Time Activity - This activity works well for students who do not nap. Once classmates are asleep, students can work quietly building the shapes on these mats.
The mats in this set are a no prep activity. The cards need to be printed and laminated for durability. Laminating the cards also helps the playdough not to stick to the mats if the students choose to build the pumpkins on top of the mats. Once made, the teacher just needs to add the playdough to the mats and the center is all set.
Skills Assessed:
This activity helps build up fine motor skills by squishing, squeezing, and rolling the playdough.
This activity determines if students can look at and copy an image using playdough.
This activity determines if students can match colors by making sure they choose the correct colored playdough according to the picture.
