Fall Beginning Sound Clip Cards

Fall Beginning Sound Clip Cards
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Seasons, Fall, Language Development, Phonics, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities

These phonics clip cards for beginning sound make a wonderful fall or autumn fine motor literacy center for preschoolers and kindergartners. Students will gain practice in recognizing the beginning sounds of words as well as identifying beginning blends and digraphs using real photographic images. What is included: There are 11 beginning sound cards There are 2 beginning digraph cards There are 4 beginning blend cards There are 2 beginning trigraph cards The cards are differentiated for students who need more support in figuring out the beginning sound of each picture. One set includes the word typed out with the beginning sound, blend or digraph missing for the student to identify. The other set just has the real picture for the student to identify its beginning sounds. How to Use: Students will look at the picture on each clip card and say the word that is represented by the picture. The student will then use a clip to mark the correct beginning sound, beginning blend or beginning digraph. Once completed, the beginning sound clip cards and clips can be easily stored inside a task box. When to Use: Literacy Center - The teacher can place the clip cards and clips in a literacy center for students to complete independently or with a partner. Small Group Activity - The teacher can pull aside small groups of students who need more practice identifying beginning sounds. Morning Tubs or Baskets - The cards and clips can be placed inside a morning bin for students to work on as their classmates arrive to class. These phonics clip cards are a great, low prep, fine motor task for teachers to create for students. The clip cards just need to be printed and cut apart. The teacher can choose to laminate the cards for durability. Fall Alphabet Match Game – Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center

Fall Alphabet Match Game Uppercase and Lowercase Letter Center Spot It Style Cards for Early Literacy This fall-themed alphabet game is a playful way for students to practice uppercase and lowercase letters. The activity is based on a “find the match” system: each card has exactly one letter in common with another card, and students have to be the first to spot it. I have used this kind of game format with kindergarten and first grade, and it usually gets the whole group involved quickly. The set includes 93 cards in total, divided into three different versions of 31 cards each. There are round cards, hexagons, and squares. I usually prepare the square version when I need something quick to cut, but the round cards feel more like a traditional game and always catch students’ attention. The hexagons are a nice option if you want a different look. Each card shows six pictures, with the letters hidden among them, so students have to focus closely to find the match. This type of activity works well for building letter recognition, both uppercase and lowercase. It also helps with visual perception, concentration, and taking turns in a group setting. In my classroom, I sometimes keep the game in a literacy center, and other times I use it as a quick warm-up before a reading lesson. It is flexible enough to use in small groups, partner work, or even as an early finisher option. The set also comes with tally sheets, which give students an extra chance to record their letters and practice writing. Some of my students liked keeping track of their matches this way, which turned the game into a mix of play and writing practice. Preparation is simple: print the cards, cut them apart, and laminate if you want them to last longer. Once made, they store easily in a small envelope or box and can be used again each fall. This resource is designed for kindergarten and the early grades, but older students sometimes enjoy it as a quick challenge too. The fall theme makes it seasonal, without being too spooky, so it works well throughout September, October, and November . Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? Fall Alphabet Memory Game – Uppercase ABC Cards

Fall Alphabet Memory Game – Uppercase ABC Cards
Holiday & Seasonal, ESL, Language Development, ELA, Spelling, Pre-Reading, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Seasons, Fall, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Task Cards, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems

Fall Alphabet Memory Game – Uppercase ABC Cards ABC Picture Cards for Letter Recognition and Word Building This fall alphabet memory game is made with uppercase letters only, from A to Z. Each card shows one bold capital letter together with a simple fall picture, such as B with bat or P with pumpkin . I started using it at the beginning of the school year when my kindergarten class was just learning capital letters, and it quickly became a favorite activity. There are six complete decks of 29 cards each. I like having more than one set because I can give different groups their own deck and avoid cards getting mixed together. The most common way we use the cards is as a memory game, where children flip them over and look for pairs. But there are many other options: putting the alphabet in order on the rug, matching letters I call out, or using a single card as a starting point for a quick word game. The focus on uppercase only makes this resource useful for beginners. Students who are still getting comfortable with print can concentrate on learning one letter form at a time. English learners also benefit from the clear images, since they can connect the picture with the letter sound without feeling overwhelmed. Preparation is simple. Print, cut, and, if you want the cards to last, laminate them. I store mine in small envelopes so they are easy to grab during literacy centers, small group rotations, or as an option for early finishers. The autumn theme makes them seasonal, but the skills they reinforce—recognizing uppercase letters, matching letters with sounds, and developing early vocabulary—are important throughout the year. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Watercolor Backgrounds – 10 Designs for Teaching Materials and Creative Projects (A4 Format) PNG + PDF Over the years, I’ve realized how much a soft and thoughtfully chosen background can influence the overall tone of a worksheet, project, or presentation. Especially when working with younger learners—or just trying to break away from the usual black-and-white documents—a watercolor-style background can make materials feel calmer, more inviting, and a little more special. This set includes 10 hand-designed watercolor backgrounds , all created by me in Procreate. They’re simple, versatile, and gentle in color, making them easy to combine with your own content—whether you're designing a worksheet, setting up a presentation, or putting together printable materials like task cards or signs. Each background comes in two formats : – PNG (with transparent or clean edges – ideal for digital work) – PDF (quick and ready to print) What you can use them for: – Designing worksheets or templates for student work – Presentation slides (PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva...) – Game cards or instruction sets – Greeting cards or classroom posters – Backdrops for reflection or writing pages – And much more I’ve personally used them for everything from laminated instructions at learning centers to cover pages for student portfolios. The soft watercolor look adds warmth without being distracting—and pairs well with both playful and more serious content. Usage notes: These backgrounds are available for private and classroom use , and you may also use them commercially within the educational field (e.g. in your own teaching materials), as long as your own content is clearly visible and credit is given (by naming me as the creator or linking to my store). Please don’t resell or distribute the files as standalone images. Have fun using these designs to give your materials a personal and creative touch. – Heike from @Lernfitness Did You Know? Día de los Muertos Reading Comprehension Passage and Craft Activities for Grades 4th to 7th What’s inside? I created this resource with grades 4th to 7th in mind because I wanted something that makes cultural learning easy to understand, but still interesting for older elementary and middle-grade students. While designing it, my goal was to give students a chance to read, think, discuss, and create - all in one meaningful lesson. This resource includes: A reading comprehension passage that compares Día de los Muertos (Mexico) and Shradh (India) A small set of Día de los Muertos vocabulary words Pictures of both Día de los Muertos and Shradh ceremonies to support understanding A simple mask-making craft activity A scrapbook/collage project for team work A certificate you can award to students when they finish Resource features I wrote the passage to help students notice how both traditions honor their ancestors in different ways. The vocabulary list gives students a quick introduction to important terms before reading. Pictures of both traditions make the topic easier to discuss, especially for students who are seeing these celebrations for the first time. The mask-making activity gives students a fun way to connect with the lesson through art. The scrapbook/collage project encourages team work, creativity, and discussion. The activities and wording are age-appropriate for grades 4 - 7. Clear instructions are included so teachers, parents, and homeschoolers can use it without extra preparation. How to use this resource? Reading Comprehension: Students can read the passage and answer questions that help them compare and contrast both traditions. Group Work: You can divide the class into teams to complete the scrapbook or collage activity. Craft Time: The mask-making activity can be used during art time or as a fun cultural extension. Cultural Studies: This set works well in lessons about traditions, celebrations, family, or world cultures. Who Can Use It? For teachers it is a ready to use resource for literacy lessons, cultural studies, or creative classroom projects. Homeschoolers: Easy step by step activities that make cultural learning hands-on and enjoyable will guide the homeschoolers to use this resource efficiently. For parents this resource is a simple way to support reading skills and introduce cultural diversity at home. This resource helps students practice comprehension while also learning how different cultures remember and celebrate loved ones. It’s a complete and meaningful activity set that encourages both learning and creativity. Fall Number Flashcards – 0–30 Memory and Sequencing Games

Fall Number Flashcards – 0–30 Memory and Sequencing Games
Holiday & Seasonal, ELA, Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Seasons, Fall, Math, Early Math, Numbers, Counting, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, Activities, Games, Worksheets & Printables, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools, Quizzes, Projects, Flashcards, Word Problems, Centers

Fall Numbers Memory Game Bring autumn fun into your math lessons! This set of fall-themed flashcards gives students repeated practice with numbers from 0 to 30 in a playful and flexible format. I first made these for my kindergarten class, when many of my students still needed support with recognizing numbers and putting them in the right order. The cards worked well because they could be used in so many different ways without having to prepare something new each time. There are 228 cards in total, divided into six full sets with different colored borders. The colors make it easy to keep groups organized, since each table can use a separate set without mixing the cards together. Each card shows a single number in a large, clear font, which helps beginning learners and also supports students who struggle with visual distractions. The cards can be used for memory or matching games, where students flip over two at a time and try to find pairs. Another favorite activity in my class has been sequencing: students work together to lay the cards out from 0 to 30. For more active lessons, we sometimes spread the cards on the floor and have students “walk” the numbers in order, which adds movement to the practice. I also use the cards as simple flashcards, holding them up for quick recognition drills, or handing one card to each student and asking the group to line up in numerical order. With partners, students have created their own math problems using the numbers they draw, which adds a layer of challenge for more advanced learners. Differentiation is built in, since you can choose how many numbers to include. With beginners, I usually work with 0–10. As students grow more confident, I extend to 0–20 and eventually the full 0–30. Adding a timer or encouraging students to say each number out loud when they play can make the activity even more engaging. Preparation is straightforward: print the set you want, cut the cards, and laminate if you plan to reuse them. I keep each set in small envelopes or bags so they are ready for math centers, group games, or quick warm-ups. The fall design adds a seasonal touch, but the number practice is useful all year long.
