Reading Comprehension Passages: Part 1 helps young readers build comprehension skills. This resource includes fiction stories with two versions to engage different learners. Version 1 requires students to read a passage then answer who, what, when, where, why questions in writing. Version 2 has students match provided answers to comprehension questions after reading. The why question still requires a written response. With fluency practice and critical thinking, this versatile resource can be used whole class or individually, for seatwork or homework. The Google Slides present fill-in-the-blank style stories for additional reading comprehension practice. This resource is well-suited for grades 1-3 language arts.
