There are 40 slides. We begin by introducing developing phonemic awareness of the initial digraph SN,
We move on to sound out words with 'SN'.
This is followed by some tracking exercises - short sentences where the pupil is asked to spot the 'NG' sound in the words before reading each sentence.
The PowerPoint finishes with our 'star' for good effort which children love!
How can the ‘SN' PowerPoint be used?
It can be used in multiple ways:
It can either be used by the child, with support from an adult, as well as to give the parents a feel for what is necessary - i.e., for training purposes.
It can be sent home for a child to watch with his/her parents after seeing it in class - this will then act as revision as well as training the parent as to what is necessary to help the child.
