The package includes two decodable reading books, two matching PowerPoint presentations, four video lessons and over twenty supporting activities spread across two weeks of instruction. The program uses a systematic, incremental approach that teaches just 10 words from the same phonics family over two weeks. This focused method allows students to thoroughly master each word through repeated practice in reading and writing exercises. The multisensory activities address common challenges such as poor word recall, letter confusion, difficulty recognising previously decoded words, and text tracking problems. The platypus is a unique egg-laying mammal with only the echidna as the only other mammalian egg layers.
