Snowdrops Picture to Make is a fun resource for students to complete as culmination of a science unit, to welcome spring, or simply to put into practice their fine motor skills! Additionally, it can be used for art class, or for the study of flowers, or simply to make a card to give away.
Instructions for making a sweet picture of snowdrops are included along with what is needed:
• Green card A5 size
• Blue/darker green and white paper
• A green felt tip pen
• A glue stick
• Scissors
• White/green/yellow/blue paint
• A piece of stiff card
• A cotton wool ball
This activity is suitable for Grade 1 (Y2) and upwards.
A total of 11 steps are included in the instructions.
This activity is best implemented in small groups where the teacher, assistant, or parent is readily available to step in and help students. Older students may be able to work independently.
During completion: name the parts of the flower such as: petal, stem, seed-vessel, leaves.
After completion: encourage students to name the parts of the flower while describing their own flower.
Mount the picture on a piece of folded A4 card and pin it up. You could even make it into a card and give it to someone!
