Are you looking for a fun St. Patrick's Day activity that can also double as a snack? this St. Patrick's Day marshmallow graphing activity uses your favorite lucky marshmallow cereal to make a fun and engaging math center! Students will practice their graphing skills by sorting a handful of marshmallows and then placing the marshmallows on their graph. A recording page is available for students to work with their marshmallow data on their graph.

What is Included:

  • Three different graphing pages to accommodate different boxes of marshmallow cereal. See the product images for the sets included.

  • Three different recording pages for students to practice sorting, counting, comparing numbers and simple addition using their own marshmallows

How to Use:

Students will receive a handful of cereal with marshmallows. They will sort the marshmallows according to their shapes and then place them on their graph. After graphing all of their marshmallows, the students will use the recording page to interpret and use the data from their graph to answer each question.

When to Use:

  • Math Centers - Give students their marshmallow cereal and the graphing and recording page to complete independently or with a partner.

  • Snack Time Activity - Students can use their marshmallow cereal to graph and then they can eat their cereal.

  • St. Patrick's Day Party Idea - This activity makes a great activity to use during a St. Patrick's Day party.

Skills Assessed:

Students will gain practice in sorting by shape, counting up to 12, simple addition skills and comparing numbers in a set with this Saint Patrick's Day math activity.

The St. Patrick's Day graphing activity worksheets and data recording page are both no prep. They are just print and go. The teacher just needs to add the marshmallow cereal needed to complete the graphing activity. The graphing page and data page can also be laminated to make a reusable math center pages.
