St. Patrick's Day Themed Centers

This resource is a set of St. Patrick's Day Themed Centers. It includes a set of two activities for your March literacy and math centers. These encompass skills that my second graders need to practice and master at this point in the year.

Included:

• - Sentence center (punctuation and ending). There are 18 sentences included in this resource.

• - Number match memory game. This center can be used in several ways, including as a memory game. I have purposely used similar numbers in order to make sure that students are looking carefully and reading the numbers correctly. This center can easily be differentiated by using only some of the cards depending on the level and abilities of your students.
  

Directions are included for implementing these activities two different ways, but feel free to use the resources whichever way is useful to your students.

Method 1: Students randomly choose (no looking) a sentence strip. They then write down the sentence strip on their worksheet exactly as it is written on the chosen strip of paper. Students then decide what needs to be changed or spelled correctly. Students then write the corrected sentence next to number 2.

Method 2: Students randomly choose (no looking) a sentence strip and rewrite the sentence correctly on another sheet of paper. Student returns their sentence strip to the container and choose another sentence to correct.
