This is a ONE PASSAGE SAMPLE. The following is the description of the FULL resource and the downloading links: Health & Applied Bioscience: Reading Comprehension Passages and Questions (Word) This very engaging collection of science reading passages about The Truth about Drinks, Green Tea, and Plastic in Medicine is designed to bridge the gap between science and literacy through strengthening reading comprehension and sparking scientific curiosity in middle school students. Each passage blends English Language Arts skills with accurate science content that supports NGSS classroom practice. Ideal for interdisciplinary learning in ELA and Science. Suitable for Grade 9 review, too! What Is Included? There are (3) informational passages: The Truth About Drinks: Many popular drinks add a lot of sugar, caffeine, or artificial sweeteners without people noticing. Knowing what is in sports drinks, sodas, and energy drinks helps you choose water or low-sugar options more often. Green Tea: Ancient Drink, Modern Science: Green tea comes from an old tradition, but today it is studied for its helpful plant chemicals. It can support alertness and health, but it works best as part of overall good habits, not as a magic drink. Plastic in Medicine: From Everyday Uses to Life-Saving Care: Plastics made it easier to keep hospitals clean, since items like gloves, syringes, and IV tubes can be used once and thrown away. They also make medical tools lighter and safer, though all that single-use plastic has to be handled carefully. Student Tasks for Each Passage: 5 multiple-choice questions targeting main idea, key details, inference, vocabulary in context, and use of evidence 5 vocabulary matching items with clear, student-friendly definitions 5 text-based questions that require citing specific lines or facts 1 summary prompt that asks students to condense central ideas accurately Full answer key for every section Available Formats for this Resource PDF Google Docs FULL CATALOG OF DOWNLOADING LINKS HERE Reading Passage Links: Astronomy & Space Science PDF Word Docs Google Docs Volcanoes, Rocks, & Mountains PDF Word Docs Google Docs Rock Cycle, Soil, & Sinkholes PDF Word Docs Google Docs Mars, Glaciers, & Antarctica PDF Word Docs Google Docs Water Cycle, Acid Rain, & Wastewater PDF Word Docs Google Docs Insects, Animals, & Ecosystems PDF Word Docs Google Docs Bioluminescence & Insects PDF Word Docs Google Docs Animal Skin, Cats, & T. The passages strengthen main idea, evidence use, vocabulary in context, inference, cause and effect, and summary writing. With ready-to-use assessments and complete answer keys, you can provide focused practice that is simple to run and fast to review.

Step into the whimsical forest with the Color By Number: Deer Shape Coloring Activity! Here’s your chance to color in your very own majestic deer without having to tiptoe around actual woods. This deer won’t bolt away if you make a little noise, and it’s way easier to capture than a real one, all you need is your coloring set! Each section of this graceful creature is numbered, so all you need to do is match colors to numbers and watch your deer come to life. Maybe it’s a calm woodland brown, or perhaps you feel like adding a splash of rainbow to those antlers, there are no coloring judges here. It’s the perfect mix of nature and creativity, minus the mud and mosquito bites. Ideal for wildlife fans, little (or big) nature explorers, or anyone who wants a dose of forest magic from the comfort of their desk, this deer is as charming as it is easy to bring to life. Here is a simple, ready to go St. Patrick's Day math game perfect for your intermediate students in grades 4-6! They will love playing and going head to head with one another, while barely noticing how much decimal multiplication practice they are actually doing. This game even incorporates some basic financial literacy, since students are working with dollar amounts! Students either multiply an amount of money by a one-digit or two-digit whole number. You choose which level works best for your class. How to Play: 1) Decide if you will multiply an amount of money by a one-digit or two-digit number. 2) Give each player a game board with six rounds. 3) The teacher/leader rolls the die for the first time (Note: a 10-sided die will make the game more exciting). 4) Every student must choose where to place that number before the leader rolls again. No moving numbers! 5) The leader rolls 4 or 5 times, depending on the game chosen. Students place each number after each roll. 6) Students calculate their jackpots. The highest one wins! 7) Discuss strategies for number placement. Once you have played as a whole class, this could become a math center for small groups! Grades to Use With: This game is perfect for students in grades 4-6 who are learning about money and multiplying with decimals. It could also be a fun review in grades 7 and 8 for multiplying by hand. Finally, it could be used in high school special education classrooms.
