This St. Patrick's Day addition math station or center makes the perfect hands on math activity for kindergartners and first graders to practice addition facts for sums up to 20 using number bonds, tens frames, number lines or number sentences to solve each addition equation using objects as counters. What is Included: Addition Task Cards for sums up to 20 Number Bond Addition Mat Number Sentence Addition Mat Tens Frames Addition Mat Addition Mat with Tens and Ones Number Line Addition Mat up to 10 Number Line Addition Mat up to 20 Optional recording sheet How to Use: To use this St. Patrick's Day addition math station, the teacher will choose an addition mat for students to use while solving each addition problem. With the wide variety of addition mats available, the teacher can easily choose one that aligns with the math lesson they are teaching or pair mats for students who need help with various addition strategies. Counters should be provided to assist those students who need extra help with solving each addition equation. Students will take one math fact card at a time and solve it using the counters on their math mat. If the teacher wishes for a written assignment to grade, there is an optional recording sheet for students to record the addition facts they solved. There are a variety of counters that can be used to solve these problems. The teacher can add mini erasers, or other small manipulatives to use as counters. The cards and counters can be easily stored in the same box for an easy to set up, clean up and store math station. When to Use: Math Center - The cards and counters can be placed inside a math center for students to complete. Whether students are in the classroom or in the computer lab , you may be on the hunt for some computer skills resources that you know students will love. Many of our students, young and old, enjoy putting their tech skills to use. It is always impactful when we can give them opportunities to show what they know and/or teach them new things! This is a Pixel Pics Spreadsheet Activity. It is the St. Patrick's Day Edition. This activity would work for any age of students who have learned about different computer applications, including Google Spreadsheets. Students will be given access to 1 spreadsheet. On this spreadsheet, there are 5 tabs. Students can complete all 5 tabs, you can assign which tabs you want them to complete, or you can let the students choose which ones to complete. The tabs include: -Clover -Ireland -Leprechaun Face -Pot of Gold -Lucky Horseshoes On each tab, students will follow the color code to complete the picture. St. Patrick's Day Beginning Sound Sort

This beginning sound sort is a great hands on activity for recognizing the most common sound of each letter of the alphabet. This is an easy and fun activity to give students who need practice with recognizing the beginning sound of each letter from amongst other letter sounds or for those students who need extra practice distinguishing between the initial sounds in words. To complete this sorting activity , students will look at the pictures inside the gold coins and place the coin into the correct pot according to that picture's beginning sound. This sorting activity includes 12 pages that contains There are twenty-six pot mats that each have one letter of the alphabet on the pot, in both its capital form and its lowercase form. There are 52 gold coin pieces for students to match with the correct pot. There are also pictures for X in the initial position and X in the final position depending on which sound is taught. This beginning sound sort can be used in the following ways Literacy centers Fine motor centers File folder activity Add magnets to the picture cards for a baking tray activity Small group activities Morning work Emergency sub plans If making a file folder game, the teacher will place one or two mats on either side of the folder and use hook and loop fasteners to sort the gold coin pictures.
