Stories, Fables, and Folktales Anchor Chart

This set of anchor charts helps first graders learn about stories, fables, and folktales. Big, colorful pictures show what makes each one different.

The set has four charts. The first chart is about stories. It shows the parts of a story, like who is in it, what happens, and where it takes place. The second chart is about fables. Fables are short and teach a lesson. They often have animals that act like people. The third chart is about folktales. Folktales are old stories that people have told for a long time. The fourth chart shows all three next to each other so kids can see how they are the same and how they are different.
