About This Product

This slide deck and work packet is designed to teach students what a S.W.O.T. analysis is in the entrepreneur and business world, and what they look like in action.

A S.W.O.T. analysis is a strategic planning tool used to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats associated with a business, project, or decision. It provides a assessment of factors inside and outside of the business that can impact the health of a business.

More simply, a S.W.O.T. analysis is a way of thinking through a new idea for business through 4 considerations: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Each of those domains are explored in detail in this unit of study. This product teaches students about the foundational business tool and how they can use it in a business or entrepreneurship context!

This product includes:

  • A simple-to-follow S.W.O.T. presentation that mimics student notes

  • A detail oriented look at each stage of a S.W.O.T. analysis

  • A student note sheet (corresponds with the class slide deck)

  • A student workbook to consult in the future

This guide to S.W.O.T. analyses helps students try their own hand at conducting an analysis of business operations! Students get practice applying the core concepts of the S.W.O.T. analysis in a way that isn't unnecessarily complicated or complex. Students tend to thrive applying the concepts from this lesson!
