The Element of Line Presentation
About This Product
As you introduce and review new topics with your art students, you may want to ensure that you have quality resources that will allow them to express their understanding of the concept. Art can be concrete and abstract simultaneously! Because of this, we want to assess mastery in the best ways we know how. We can do this when we present hands-on and engaging lessons and instruction to our students.
The Element of Line is an editable presentation that can be accessed through Microsoft or Google. It consists of 8 slides. The objective is for students to demonstrate their understanding of the elements of line through a given task.
The presentation breakdown:
Slide 2 – Lines. Description of types and variations of lines.
Slide 3 – Three images for line examples.
Slide 4 – Six images for line examples.
Slide 5 – Six images for line examples.
Slide 6 – Student assignment. Students will demonstrate their understanding of the element of lines by creating a design of their choice. As you are focusing on lines, and lines only, students will be creating these in black and white - like the example on the slide.
Slide 7 – Success criteria.
Slide 8 – Assignment rubric.
This is ideal for middle and high school art students.
