Teaching tips

Preview the ten panel headings before the film runs — they range from Señor Fernando Cienfuegos to Tanya Chesham-Leigh and Donna Sheridan-Carmichael, spellings that English learners usually need help hearing and writing.
Three panels carry the Sheridan surname and two carry Carmichael; naming the overlaps before students write keeps the descriptions from blurring into one another.
Each panel gives exactly four ruled lines, so set the expectation early — one full sentence per line rather than a string of adjectives.

By full name alone. Donna Sheridan-Carmichael, Sophie Sheridan and Ruby Sheridan each head their own four-line panel, and Sam Carmichael's panel repeats the second half of Donna's surname. No relationship notes are printed, so the connections are what students set down in their descriptions.

How much space does each character description get?

Four ruled lines, laid out as ten panels in two columns on a single page. The cap keeps every description short enough to finish in one sitting; a class that wants more room can carry on overleaf.

One heading reads "Señor Fernando Cienfuegos" — does any of the work need Spanish?
