Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 10s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). Rooms of the Home - Sorting activity
Special Resources, Special Education Needs (SEN), Speech Therapy, Life Skills, Math, Early Math, Creative Arts, Art, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, Activities

Introducing the "Room Sorting" activity - a fun and educational task-based learning experience for children! This activity aims to help young learners understand the concept of sorting common items that belong in different rooms of a house. The activity involves a set of cards with pictures of various household items, such as a bed, clothes, dresser, pillow, lamp, and mirror. Each card is designated to a specific room, such as "bedroom," "bathroom," "kitchen," or "living room." Here is just one of the ideas you can use with this activity - The learners are presented with the activity sorting cards and are asked to sort them into different piles according to their designated room. As the children sort the cards, they will be asked to identify the objects in each card, and to explain why they belong in a particular room. This will help them to develop their vocabulary, categorization skills, and logical reasoning. Another Idea is one on one where the learner is presented with two different rooms cards and presented a sorting card one at a time and asked the learner what the sorting card is and which room it belongs. Give the card to the learner and have the learner add the sorting card to the correct room. This task-based learning approach provides a fun and engaging way for children to learn about sorting and categorizing common household items. Through this activity , children will develop their cognitive skills, communication skills, and creativity while also gaining a better understanding of the world around them. This activity is easy to create and assemble. Print, laminate and cut once. It can be stored by coil binding or three hole punched and placed in a binder. One other way of storing this activity is by hole punching and placing ring binders through the holes. Enjoy Many years of teaching IFIO girl

Make Sentences With The Sentence Maker: Book 6 (4-7 years) This language arts resource teaches young students sentence construction in an interactive way. Students will follow step-by-step instructions to cut out words and rearrange them to form phrases and sentences. After assembling the components, they will then read their completed sentences aloud. This resource allows children to physically manipulate linguistic parts to build sentences, engaging multiple learning modalities. Educators can implement this activity in small groups or assign the printable PDF as individual seatwork. It incorporates hands-on learning to let early elementary students actively practice constructing, reading, and proofreading sentences. This activity complements programs assisting emergent readers and writers navigate foundational grammar and literacy skills. Its self-checking feature helps reinforce comprehension. Overall, this resource creatively facilitates sentence formulation through independent student work.
