If you want to give students extra practice with patterns, I have just the resource for you. What You Get: This is a Number Sequences Activity Setthat was designed for elementary students who are working on or have mastered this skill. It also works well as a review for students. There are 2 separate PDFs included: - Worksheet with 3 activity problems - Answer key How To Implement This Resource: You can print off enough copies of the worksheet for each student to have. You may also choose to print only a few copies and laminate those. If you choose to laminate them, students can use dry erase markers to solve the problems. This is a great activity to place into a math center or small group activity . The activities included are: 1. What’s the rule? – There are 16 questions. Students will look at each sequence to determine if the numbers are increasing or decreasing and by how many. 2. Missing Number Sequences – There are 14 questions. Students will determine the rule and then fill in the missing numbers. 3. Follow the Rule! – There are 14 questions. Students will read the rules and complete the number sequences. Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little Activities Compare and Contrast Characters

In this activity, students practice the skill of comparing characters from the novels Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little, by E.B. White. Graphic organizers can be a great way to help students organize their thoughts. The graphic organizer I chose for this activity is a Venn Diagram . Venn Diagrams are perfect for comparing and contrasting two things. There are several characters in Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little that work well for this activity. I've created three worksheets where students will be comparing Wilbur and Stuart, Charlotte and Margalo, and Templeton and Snowbell. This activity works well with second through fourth graders who have read the stories. You could hand out the graphic organizers at the beginning of reading and have students add to them as you read through the book. Or, you could wait until you've finished reading. Depending on the level of your students, you could have them list words to describe the characters on a sheet of paper. They could then use that when filling out these diagrams. A great extension to this activity would be if you want students to write a paragraph comparing the two characters. The graphic organizer would help them organize their thoughts into a good paragraph. One of the 3rd grade Reading for Literature standards is comparing two different stories written by the same author. E.B. White is a great author for this age group, and Charlotte's Web and Stuart Little are two great stories to compare.

Big Versus Small Problems SEL Boom Deck with Audio

In this product, students will decide what is a big versus small problem and then click on either the adult picture or frog (representing Kelso's Choices). Reading ability is not required because I have done a voice-over for each card. There is a description of how big and small problems are defined and there is a list of the 9 Kelso's Choices in the small problem definition as strategies. Knowledge of Kelso's Choices is important as the frog represents these choices. There are 25 task cards in this deck and 2 informational cards. To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. This math game is perfect for whole group, small group, centers , or independent practice. To prepare, print and laminate the 5 bingo boards, calling cards, and optional playing squares. Lamination allows the game to be reused year after year. Students can also use manipulatives like buttons or mark their boards with dry erase markers instead of the playing squares. To play, students need a bingo board and at least 7 playing squares or another marker. Shuffle the calling cards and draw one.
