The Imitation Game is a 2014 historical drama film directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, and Matthew Goode. The film is based on the real-life story of Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician and cryptanalyst who played a crucial role in cracking the German Enigma code during World War II. The movie is divided into three different time periods, each with its own narrative thread. The first follows Turing's early years as a socially awkward and highly intelligent young man who struggles to fit in with his peers. The second thread focuses on Turing's work during World War II, where he is recruited by the British government to help break the Nazi's secret Enigma code, which they used to encrypt all of their military communications. Turing's team is made up of a diverse group of codebreakers, including Joan Clarke, a brilliant mathematician who becomes Turing's closest friend and confidante. Despite his contributions to the war effort, Turing is persecuted and forced to undergo chemical castration as punishment. The film ends tragically, with Turing ultimately taking his own life. Overall, The Imitation Game is a gripping and moving tribute to one of the 20th century's most brilliant minds, whose achievements were overshadowed by his persecution and tragic end. Number Bonds 6-10 Bingo - Boards 6-10

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing number bonds to 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on number bonds for numbers 6-10! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. To play, each student will need one gameboard, one die, 20 objects to mark the inner part of the game board, and a game piece for each student playing. First, a student will roll the die and move his game piece around the outside of the gameboard. The student will then cover the corresponding picture in the middle of the gameboard. The winner or end of game can be determined by one of the following rules below, depending on if the student is playing alone or with a partner. This can be a single player game using the following rules: The player tries to get 4 pictures covered in a row to win The player tries to cover all the spaces in a set time limit This can be a two player game by using the following rules: Who can cover the most spaces in a specific time limit Who can cover half (10 spaces) of the board first When to Use: Literacy Center Small Group Activity Morning Tubs or Baskets Individual Activity Early Finisher Game File Folder Game Partner Activity Skills Assessed: Beginning Sound of the Letter P Counting Following Directions

If you are a teacher who is searching for some fun math activities to incorporate with your students, I have just the resource for you. This is a Lego Fractions Game that your students will love! This game was designed for upper elementary students. What is included? This is a 2-page printable PDF. The first page features directions and questions to consider. The second page features two different game spinners. How To Implement This Resource: How to play? A handful of Lego pieces are placed in the center (number of pieces depends on the number of players and the intended length of play). Players take turns spinning the spinner and representing the fraction they land on using two pieces of Lego. The game is over when no one can make a fraction. The player with the most Lego pieces wins! This game can be modified for different age groups based on the fractions presented on the spinner. A spinner with numbers instead of fractions can be used for younger learners in order to reinforce counting, addition or even subtraction! I hope you enjoy!
