The Imitation Game (2014): Complete Movie Guide

The Imitation Game (2014): Complete Movie Guide
Social Studies, ELA, History, History: World, Grade 8, 9, 10, 11, Games, Activities

The Imitation Game is a 2014 historical drama film directed by Morten Tyldum and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, and Matthew Goode. The film is based on the real-life story of Alan Turing, a brilliant mathematician and cryptanalyst who played a crucial role in cracking the German Enigma code during World War II. The movie is divided into three different time periods, each with its own narrative thread. The first follows Turing's early years as a socially awkward and highly intelligent young man who struggles to fit in with his peers. The second thread focuses on Turing's work during World War II, where he is recruited by the British government to help break the Nazi's secret Enigma code, which they used to encrypt all of their military communications. Turing's team is made up of a diverse group of codebreakers, including Joan Clarke, a brilliant mathematician who becomes Turing's closest friend and confidante. Despite initial setbacks and bureaucratic interference, Turing and his team eventually succeed in cracking the Enigma code, providing the Allies with vital intelligence that helps them win the war. The third and final thread of the film takes place in 1952, several years after the war has ended, when Turing is arrested and charged with homosexuality, which was then a crime in Britain. Despite his contributions to the war effort, Turing is persecuted and forced to undergo chemical castration as punishment. The film ends tragically, with Turing ultimately taking his own life. Overall, The Imitation Game is a gripping and moving tribute to one of the 20th century's most brilliant minds, whose achievements were overshadowed by his persecution and tragic end. This movie guide comes with a character reference guide, 22-questions, and a short introduction into the movie. This product also includes a completed teacher key. Ready to use!! The topics for this movie include: World War II, Battle of Britain, The Engima *** The movie also covers topics related to the LGBQT community. Thumbnail clipart credit: By PrincePadania

GAME "I HAVE, WHO HAS" - Numbers 1 to 50
Math, Numbers, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Activities, Games

Hello! Thank you very much for being here in my virtual resource store called EDITORIAL ARENAS EDUCATIVAS. 1. WHO ARE WE? EDITORIAL ARENAS EDUCATIVAS is an educational corporation that is dedicated to the development and creation of fabulous materials and/or digital resources that will help energize or make more interesting the education of thousands of children from 6 to 12 years old. We are exclusively dedicated to the development of digital materials for the areas of reading, writing, language and mathematics for young children. We do everything from the heart because we believe that children deserve to go to school to learn as happily as possible. 2. WHY SHOULD TEACHERS USE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS? It has already been demonstrated in multiple investigations by psychologists and psychopedagogues that children learn better through playing and with physical materials than through old traditional methods. As is known, the old traditional method consists of making children simply repeat the knowledge without even analyzing anything about it or having any type of active participation within it. That is why we urge teachers to change their mentality and start using teaching materials for children now. 3. DESCRIPTIONS OF THIS PRODUCT: - Product name: "I have who has? the numbers from 1 to 50" - Number of pages: This document contains 13 fabulous colorful pages ready to be printed. On each page you will find 4 cards, which in total make 50 cards with numbers from 1 to 50. - How to play: You must cut out all the cards and distribute them among your students. Here it is important to emphasize that this group is preferably played in groups of 5 to 10 children. Then they will start with the number 1 or any other number. Then the child takes the card and says "Hey, pay attention, I have the number 5, and who has the number 23?" And so on until all the numbers from 1 to 50 are found. In this way, children will practice pronunciation as well as visual exercise and will be able to easily recognize the numbers from 1 to 50.

Number Bonds 6-10 Bingo - Boards 6-10
Math, Fact Families, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games

Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing number bonds to 10 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on number bonds for numbers 6-10! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white.
