TRACE THE DOTS AND PAINT - Art Activity - Fruits and Animals
Creative Arts, Art, Kindergarten, Preschool, Grade 1, Activities
1. Introduction As is known by multiple educational agents, the ability to draw points provides multiple benefits in the development of children, especially if they are still young. 2.Objective This fabulous worksheet to review fruits and animals aims at some of the following points that I will explain below: - Develop fine motor skills: By working with dotted lines, your children will develop hand-eye coordination and, above all, they will perfect their fine motor skills. This is based on the fact that these types of activities will require control and precision in the movement of the fingers and hands, which is essential to perform tasks such as fastening buttons, writing and many other activities where we require the coordinated use of the hands. hands. - Cognitively stimulate their minds: By working with review points, we also contribute to the cognitive development of our children, because this type of activities helps them practice their concentration and attention, because they must follow the sequence carefully to avoid making mistakes and achieve almost a fine and as coordinated line as possible. Likewise, this activity will promote planning and mental organization. 3.Order, scheme and stages It is suggested to start the class with a dynamic that encourages your students. You can propose a song, a dynamic related to fruits and animals. Then distribute the token and play some music or song in the background so that your students work with more inspiration and the art class is very fun for them. 4.Grades or ages It is suggested to apply this sheet in children from 3 to 6 years old. 5. Final Blend ND: Read and Colour
Special Resources, ELA, Language Development, Phonics, Reading, Kindergarten, Preschool, Worksheets & Printables, Worksheets
This fun, Read and Color worksheet for final Consonant blend ND words is an excellent means of encouraging children to become familiar with new blends. What is included in the pack? One PDF sheet for the Consonant blend ending ND. What do the worksheets involve? An adult should instruct pupils as to how to colour-code the endings: and/end/ind/ond, by the code given. An adult will need to help with this as the children are not expected to be able to read the colour names. The child should then read the words to an adult (you will want to ensure they get it correct the first time and not make mistakes). The child colours the picture, reading the words and checking against the code to see which colour to each shape. Children can easily work on the sheet unaided once they have been instructed and the words colour-coded, although, with children with special needs, it is strongly suggested that an adult works with the child for maximum benefit. How to use As each new blend is introduced the teacher has several aims: The child should be thoroughly familiar with the new blend - to recognise it wherever it is seen; To be able to track the new blend in words; To be able to decode words containing the new consonant blend easily To distinguish a blend from other similar blends, both visually and aurally. ND is often confused with NT. This fun read and colour activity provides help for all four! Pupils will need as much practice as they can to achieve the four things listed above and for some children, this can be tedious; the teacher must think of creative ways to give as much repetition as needed and to keep the child engaged. This fun Read and Colour sheet is ideal as a new way to engage the child: the child will be reading and re-reading and in doing so may even become familiar with the words, which will aid reading fluency. Who is the final ND blend Read and Colour worksheet for? Young learners Those with a special need Due to its non-babyish nature , it can be successfully used with older ESL/EFL pupils. Answer keys: An answer key is not necessary for this activity.

Valentine's Day Templates - Printable Greeting Cards & Coloring Sheet
Creative Arts, Valentine's Day, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Community Building, Resources for Teachers, Special Resources, Life Skills, Social Skills, Speech Therapy, Homeschool Templates, Crafts, Activities, Centers, Projects, Bulletin Boards, Classroom Decor, Door Decor, Templates, Teacher Tools
I love to make printable greeting cards and bookmarks. Not only are they fun for kids to do but can be used to practice and build useful and important skills. For example, these cute Valentines Day cards with matching envelope template (5 x 7 finished size): Require students to cut out the cards and envelope template in order to create a finished card with a matching envelope. Cutting with scissors builds fine motor skills. When students fold the cards correctly as well as paste the envelope template correctly, they are developing (especially with the envelope template) problem solving skills in addition to the fine motor skills practice. Deciding who to give the card, writing out a greeting to the chosen person, and addressing the envelope will not only build social skills, but life skills that will always be needed throughout adulthood. Properly addressing the card and outside envelope will require proper capitalization and grammar and will develop handwriting skills as well. Students can work on their cards as a group. Teachers can create a special center for this project. Cards are blank on the inside so that students can decide what they want to say. They can also draw pictures if they are not reading or writing letters yet. The cards are not age specific. They can be created with pre-readers all the way up to adulthood. There are six (6) different foldable, 5 x 7-inch cards with the following sayings: All you need is Jesus Jesus loves you Be my valentine I love you Two of the cards contain a picture without a saying. One envelope template is included, which can be used with any 5 x 7 card besides the cards in the Valentines Day card pack. pdf downloadable file, each card is on a separate sheet of paper. Also included is a coloring sheet with a colored sheet students can use to match the colors or color their own way using their own chosen color scheme.

Valentine’s Day is full of romantic thoughts and ideas. It is also rich in reds, pinks, and bright whites, which helps to brighten up the dull winter season, before spring brings new life. This Valentines Day Social Skills Activities Worksheet was created to celebrate the season as well as give teachers and homeschoolers something unique to do to practice social emotional learning, facial recognition, and fine motor skills. This is a short one-page activity that doesn’t require any writing, though reading is involved if it is completed independently. Teachers and parents can also read the words aloud to students who aren’t reading yet. Of course, read aloud activities are always good for developing listening skills as well. Adorable clip art from one of my favorite clip artists was used to make reading the facial expressions more enjoyable. Happy, sad, scared, angry, silly, worried, surprised are the emotions identified in the activity, with eight (8) different scenarios for students to consider. One page worksheet plus one page answer key is included. Of course, answers are open to interpretation as well. Two usable pages not including cover sheet and clip art credit sheet. #ValentinesDayActivities #SocialEmotionalLearning #SocialSkillsActities #FacialRecognitionActivities #Valentine'sDayProjects #1stgrade #2ndgrade #kindergarten #preschool #pre-k

90-Minute Lesson Plan on Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day, Holidays, Holiday & Seasonal, Not Grade Specific, Activities, Lesson Plans, Teacher Tools
How did St. Valentine become associated with love and romance? Get the full story behind the holiday. Whether you love Valentine's Day or hate it, one thing is clear: The holiday goes way back. And while it's now known for kissing, Valentine's Day gifts, and hard-to-get dinner reservations, the origins of the holiday are far less romantic. Many people believe he’s celebrated for his role as a Roman priest who helped couples secretly get married. Valentine’s Day did not come to be celebrated as a day of romance until about the 14th century. Today, we celebrate it on the 14th of February. This 90-minute lesson will teach young children the real history behind the globally celebrated Valentine's Day. It is based on the YouTube video 'Bet You Didn't Know: Valentine's Day | History' by the acclaimed History channel. There are plenty of activities and their answers are provided at the end.
