Students can practice reading comprehension skills with these UM word family mats. Students can practice reading UG words in isolation and in the context of sentences. The words in this set follow a CVC or CCVC spelling pattern. Included in this resource: This resource includes one word mat and one sentence mat, both for reading UM words in insolation and in context. There are also picture cards that correspond with each word and sentence. To complete this activity, students will read each UG word or sentence on the mat and then match the corresponding pictures. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete this activity. How to Use these UM word Family Mats: The students can simply lay the images on top of the word or sentence.
