Introduction: This packet contains four RAN charts with a surprise emoji to make learning VC and CVC letter patterns a bit more engaging and interactive. Objective: to help students quickly recognize and pronounce VC letter patterns and support bleding CVC words. Order, Outline and Steps: Chart 1: Focuses on VC patterns with short ‘a’ and ‘e’ sounds. Chart 2: Targets VC patterns with short ‘e’ and ‘i’ sounds. Chart 3: Targets VC letter patterns with short 'a' and ' u' Chart 4: CVC words wtih short 'a' and 'e'. All charts have CVC words with a mix of real and nonsense words for varied practice. Grades or Ages: RAN charts are ideal for students beginning to learn phonics. This is a bingo game that practices all the Primer high-frequency sight words. Along with that, this resource features a bunch of flash cards that you can use to introduce and practice these words. You can choose to print them with sharp edges or curved ones, though I prefer the curved ones. Otherwise students might hurt themselves on the edges, which is something we'd like to prevent altogether. Now with this resource come a bunch of Bingo sheets. So just print out the flash cards and draw them one by one. The students can now cross the words off from their very own bingo cards. Once they have filled out the entire card, they can yell out the magic word, which is of course BINGO. You csn decide for yourself if you also want to attach a prize to this in order to motivate your students even more. Finally, there are word lists.

Free Spanish Interactive Memory Game to Practice Verbos Y/O Acciones I This interactive PowerPoint game helps students learn and practice Spanish verbs and actions. It features a fun memory game format where students match pairs of cards to test their knowledge. Playing memory games builds visual memory, short-term memory, brain connections, concentration, brain activity , cognitive abilities, and emotional intelligence. To play, students first review the vocabulary words on the slides. Then they flip over cards to find matches. If cards don't match, they flip them back over and try again. Once all cards are matched, students can press "Start Again" for another round. This self-checking game can be played virtually or as a whole-class activity to liven up verb practice. The Phonics Advantage Progressive Emergent Reader Books slowly progress in the number of words on the page, number of words in a sentence, and the number of sentences on a page. The emergent readers reinforce sight-word vocabulary and word families. Great care was taken to use decodable words, and to review words from earlier stories. These emergent readers are formatted for easy reading on student’s digital devices. They can also be read on all computer screens, and be presented on white boards for whole-class reading experiences. The emergent readers can be downloaded to student’s digital devices, emailed to student’s homes, or posted on a class website that is password protected and open to your classroom only. This download is for Books 16 - 30 in Level 2. Level 2 is a mixture of themed books and short stories written with two to three sentences on each page. The product is a zip file containing three PDF files, each having five emergent readers. For subject diversity, each PDF of five emergent readers contains a book on animals (birds, frogs, bears), a trip (village farm, Lego club display, the big park), and something to do (origami, ride a merry-go-round, go tubing, make pancakes). In the Progressive Emergent Reader Series, there are 20 Books in Level 1. Level 2 comes in two parts, Books 1 – 15 and Books 16 – 30. All books focus on word families, decodable words, and reinforcing common word wall words to establish a solid core reading vocabulary.

Reading Made Simple — Free EA Phonics Workbook These little workbooks have been a quiet favourite with families using Reading Made Simple for some time now. Each one focuses on a single sound and prints on just one sheet of A4 paper — double-sided, folded in half to make a neat A5 booklet that children can hold and work through at their own pace. They are entirely optional. The phonics programme works perfectly well without them, but many parents and teachers find them a useful companion — either as structured practice or simply as a source of ideas to dip into when needed. Tested by real children: One 5-year-old user is quoted as having said, 'The worksheet is the best bit of my lessons!' Other parents have noted that their child likes the worksheet because 'they think it is easy'. When learning is broken down into small, achievable steps, with no curve balls to throw them off track, every child can say, 'I can read!' When I hear these reviews, I know that I have succeeded in my aim to write a phonics curriculum that can help children of all abilities learn to read and spell. These little workbooks are just one small part of what there is to offer. Please do check out the website for more information. Each workbook offers a gentle mix of activities built around the target sound. Children will read short passages that practise the new sound alongside words from sounds already taught, track and identify the sound within words to support both reading and spelling, practise spelling and sentence writing, and work through simple editing exercises where they spot and correct mistakes. These small editing tasks are particularly worthwhile — they encourage children to look carefully at words rather than guessing from context. The workbooks are particularly well-suited to younger children just beginning their phonics journey, and to older children with special educational needs who are still building their foundational reading and spelling skills. That said, they will not suit every child. Some will find them too long, others too straightforward. Use your own judgement — pick the activities that fit, leave the rest, or set them aside entirely. There is no obligation and no right or wrong way to use them. To print: print double-sided, flipping on the short edge. Fold in half to create your A5 booklet. The answer page at the back is optional. One sheet of paper. One sound. Everything a child needs to practise, consolidate and grow in confidence.

This oxygen reading comprehension contains the following: Visualize on the Cover (Teacher Read Aloud Script) Start your lesson by taking a few moments to visualize the topic and share thoughts or feelings about it. Pre-Reading Trivia Students will write down one thing they already know about the subject and then read five more facts and discuss. These facts are fun, and the students will enjoy learning about the subject before reading more. Reading Passage The text is a high-interest reading passage with set paragraphs, roughly three to four paragraphs long. It contains a variety of themes about the topic, anywhere from history to technology. The passage is between 250 and 350 words in length. Mixed Questions The first question page contains four multiple-choice questions, each with a choice of four answers, and three written response questions that require a sentence or two from the student. Vocabulary Questions Practice seven key words from the text in this section across two activities. First section is scrambled words where students will unscramble three words given a clue for each. The second section is a word to meaning matching activity.
