Thanks to these actions, the child manages to come into contact with the world in a satisfactory way. The practice of these activities will show them to learn without realizing it. The best way to teach the concepts to your students is through play. We give you some ideas and excellent tricks for you to achieve it. Learning a second language... has never been so much fun! Learn and Practice Hygiene in Spanish with Interactive Games; in this particular case, “Memory Game” which produces numerous benefits in your students, beyond the entertainment they provide for them. There is a varied catalog of proposals for activities to work at school or home. Memory games occupy a special place on this list of ideas. And, in addition, they produce numerous benefits. They have a simple format, since the essential objective of this experience is to promote memorization, recognition, identification and classification of information. This type of activity is available in traditional format and also digital. These games have a specific theme, for example, letters, images or numbers. Thus, they have educational value. Analyzing the benefits and opportunities of these activities are: 1st Empowers the visual memory, 2nd Exercises the short-term memory, 3rd Establishes relationships and connections in the brain, 4th Externalizes maximum concentration, 5th Increases brain activity , 6th Collaborates with the process of cognitive abilities, and 7th Activates the emotional intelligence of your students. Instructions for the Place Value Game to be use in your classroom or the gymnasium as a whole group activity . 1. Print the entire following material (twice = for 2 Teams) preferably on 8.5 "x 11"Cardstock and cut the cards on the dotted lines. Laminate for durability. Paste page 1 on the front of an envelope as a cover and store the remaining material inside; keep it in a visible and safe place to play often. 2. When playing, place cards with the names of the place value on the board following the visual example below, so that children see the place value for each of their teams and where they shall be placed themselves when they are actually playing. Try and practice before scoring and starting the game. 3. Take the cards with numbers and place them (facing the numbers) on two tables or the floor, a bit away from the board. Make sure to separate the groups from each other. Verify that each team has (Red numbers 0-9, blue 0-9, green 0-9 and yellow 0-9) check that all cards are visible and in disarray. 4. Make two (2) teams and ask the members of each team to place themselves around the cards that correspond to their team. 5. On the count of three, say and write a random number on the board following the visual example. At this time the children of each team must take the number with the corresponding colors or place value and quickly placed themselves in front of the board (See visual example below). Explain in advance that no one should take away the cards from each other. (Challenge - remove the place value on the board and do not write down the numbers, just say them). 6. The first team to place the complete number in the correct order and visible to the others will be the winning team, racking up their score to reach the target previously set, thus obtaining a final winning team. NOTE: During the game you will see how your students will come up with strategies in order to be the winner, such as designating a student to be a specific place value or by placing or organizing the card by its place value (colors) together, etc., in order to achieve the operation faster. You must bring up these strategies and take a moment to teach them as they arise and at the same time establish the rules that are allowed or not in the game. This game brings a lot of excitement and noise. This is a set of 2, short vowel /oo/, decodable phonic reading books, with supporting activity packs to help struggling readers develop reading fluency. Each lesson focuses on just ten decodable OO words. What is included: This is a pack of 2 lessons (3 books, 2 games, 2 packs of worksheets) - 2 for each vowel sound: a total time of 2 weeks of phonics instruction. This OO pack of worksheets and reading books is part of the Reading Made Simple Special Needs programme and is preceded by the five vowels lessons and Lesson 6: CK. For best effect, the lessons should be taught in order. Reading Made Simple for Special Needs A 100% systematic phonic reading programme for all ages and abilities. Give your child a Head start in reading! Due to its 100% systematic nature, this reading programme is highly suitable for any child with a special need, including dyslexia (or suspected), or any other need that is causing a child to have difficulties learning to read. What makes this reading programme different? · It has its own, easy-to-download and print phonic reading books, making it accessible to many children worldwide. · Each book carefully builds on the vocabulary of those that have gone before, providing much repetition, without relying on predictable text. · Pictures aid the storyline without encouraging reading from the pictures – i.e. guessing. · The vocabulary is based on phonic families, which are introduced in a carefully planned way. · True sight words – those that cannot be sounded out - are kept to the very minimum. Most words are introduced in their phonic family wherever possible. · It is truly multisensory, using the power of the hand. We not only look at the words, but we write them too. This is powerful and has the bonus of turning the child not only into a reader but into a writer as well. Typical signs that this programme can help: · Difficulty recalling words when seen on flashcards or when reading texts, which results in no or little reading fluency · b/d letter reversal of a chronic nature – i.e. the child has not grown out of it · Difficulty ordering letters in words: E.g. top becomes pot. · Difficulty differentiating between like words: spoon/soon; back/black; sheep/sleep etc… · Difficulty tracking words across a page To help all children succeed, each phonic family is taught in two lessons, each a week in duration. This speed has been tried and tested to be the optimum speed to allow children to absorb new information without mental overload. You may find that some children need longer - but never less. Each phonic family is split into half and only 5/6 words in a family are studied each week. Activities are provided to give the child plenty of exposure to the new sound and the set of words that contain it. These activities are not hard, but simply bring the child face to face with the words, first individually, then in sentences, and finally in longer passages. We also seek to strengthen knowledge of blends and develop phonemic awareness through the activities, much needed by these learners. In all, the way that Reading Made Simple has been designed reduces the burden on the working memory, making it easier for children to learn to read. Children relax as they meet familiar words again and again. They begin to say – sometimes for the first time, ‘I can read’. With this programme, you can help a non-reader today! Activities include: Reading fluency triangles Word Level: reading and spelling CK words Sentence Level; reading and spelling sentences, including previously taught sounds and /ck/ words. Reading books to practice reading with short stories. Practicing Wonders Words to Know is often a bit of a boring task for most students. That's why we made it a bit more fun. First of all, you can guide students through the book along with the vocabulary list. Here it shows the part of speech, the word, the definition and an example sentence. This way, students don't even need their books anymore to practice all of the words at home. Another fun element is the word search. This word search is based on the definitions, so the student is not given the correct answer right away. This way, they really have to dig into their memories to come up with the correct answer. After all of the practicing is done, it is time to do the test. You can present this by first giving the definition and then to let the student fill out the correct answer. The second part is a fill in the blanks exercise.
