This ea decodable reading book can help children develop reading fluency. It is part of a series of highly structured decodable reading books with controlled vocab; all vocab is decodable using phonic knowledge the child already has (if read in sequence) and true irregular sight words are only slowly and gradually introduced. These books can help children develop reading fluency, providing sequential decodable reading passages that practice previously taught phonic sounds while introducing new ones. Together they form a highly structured phonic reading scheme. They follow on from our previous sets of: CVC Reading Books with matching workbooks Consonant Blends Reading Books with matching workbooks Level 1 Red Books. with matching workbooks These books are best read in sequence. This book contains words with the following sounds: ck, oo, ee, sh, ch, th, ng, ing, ar, or, a-e, i-e and u-e, ai, and ea. I created these phonic readers as I saw the huge need for highly structured, fun-to-read, early-reading books. They are very popular. I am an Early Years Specialist Teacher (B. Ed) who is currently tutoring children with profound special needs in reading and writing following over 30 years of teaching phonics. Main features: •The Level 1 readers gently introduce sight words, but only those that cannot be learned in a phonetic family, or will be needed before the family has been studied. •All the other words can be sounded out using the necessary phonic knowledge. Pictures do not encourage guessing •Each book tries to tell a simple story. •Each book has been tested on children with severe special needs and those with none – all have loved them as they can read them! •The books should be read in order Who can use these reading books? All beginner readers of any age and ability Struggling readers of all ages and abilities, including special needs pupils with severe dyslexia/other processing difficulties Teachers, parents, classroom assistants, private tutors - anyone who needs them! Are these phonic reading books and workbooks aligned with the UK Gov requirements or LETRS? Yes - totally. Though not part of an approved programme they are based on synthetic, very systematic phonics. They are highly structured, repeating vocabulary, introducing sight words slowly and introducing a-e words while practising those listed above that have been learned before. How long are the books? The reading books are either 8 or 12 pages long. Why are these books FREE when other people's books cost so much? Are they of lesser quality? They are free as I regard the ability to read as being a fundamental right of every living person. Why should some miss out on top-quality resources because they cannot pay for them? In terms of content, they are top quality, carefully planned and sequenced with the aim of helping as many children as possible get started on the phonic road to reading. This 'oa' set of 2 phonics anchor charts is excellent for acquainting children with words in the 'oa' spelling family, for both reading and spelling development. What is included in the pack? One brightly coloured 'oa' ' phonic anchor chart which can be used as a word wall, or for teacher use One black and white phonics anchor chart, which can be coloured by pupils What do the worksheets involve? The colour 'oa ' anchor chart can be used as a word wall or as an aid to teaching the 'oa' digraph. The black and white anchor chart can be coloured by the pupil. The act of colouring helps the family of 'oa' words to be fixed together as a group of words in the child's memory. In addition, children can be encouraged to think of a story, using as many words on the 'oa' anchor chart as possible. How to use the anchor charts One of the great difficulties of learning digraphs, encountered by the middle and lower thirds of the class, is remembering which digraph to use for each word. For example, is it cake, or caik? By linking words in the same family together, children can be helped to overcome this difficulty. This is how this phonics anchor chart can help. 1. Introduction As is known, puzzles are versatile educational tools and resources that offer children a wide variety of benefits for the motor, cognitive and emotional development of children and students. In addition to being extremely fun and entertaining for students, these teaching resources will help students acquire those essential skills that will be useful in a wide variety of aspects of their lives. For this reason, today I created this fantastic worksheet, thanks to which your students will be able to develop their learning of numbers from 1 to 10, associating their knowledge and learning with the topic of dinosaurs. 2.Objective Putting together mathematical puzzles offers a wide variety of benefits such as the following: - Promote cognitive development: Puzzles help stimulate logical reasoning and critical thinking. In this way, children analyze, plan and make decisions to solve the puzzles, which will contribute to their cognitive development. - Encourage fine motor skills: When children manipulate the parts of the puzzle, they will improve their hand-eye coordination as well as develop fine motor skills by placing the pieces in the specific and correct positions.- - Encourage problem solving: When solving the puzzles, students and/or children will be required to think of multiple possible solutions and choose the correct answer. This will encourage the development of your decision-making and problem-solving skills. - Improve memory: Puzzles will require children to remember details as well as patterns to complete the image correctly. This will contribute to the development and improvement of short and long term memory. - Encourage patience and perseverance: Solving a puzzle requires time and effort. Children will learn to be patient and persevere as they work and complete the puzzle, thus learning to face challenges and overcome them. 3.Order, scheme and stages Present this activity to your students, ask them to use their rubber bands and scissors to carry out the activity. It also emphasizes the care that must be taken when handling the scissors. 4.Grades or ages This activity is aimed at students ages 3, 4, 5 and 6, that is, children who are beginning to learn basic numbers from 1 to 10. 5. Learn Initial Sounds I: Lesson 9 teaches the letter Ii and its related phonic sound through a 33-slide PowerPoint lesson, and 5 follow-up activity worksheets. All you need to teach the phonic letter I! Whether in school or at home, this series of phonic presentations can help you effectively teach initial/beginning sounds to all pupils, including those with special needs/dyslexia. This lesson is part of a synthetic, systematic phonics programme for all abilities including those suspected of being dyslexic. This lesson is in the first stage of the Reading Made Simple programme where we teach the initial, or beginning, sounds. The ability to hear the initial/beginning sound is stressed throughout, while we learn to associate each letter with its sound. Each lesson can stand alone but the activities will presume knowledge of the previous letters in the alphabet as Reading Made Simple teaches the initial sounds in alphabetical order. Special features of the Learn Initial Sounds I: Lesson 9 The PowerPoint is silent so that you can interact with your child in the best way for them: full instructions are provided at the bottom of each slide - be sure to show 'Notes'. Science of Reading Aligned Truly phonetic; no 'i' for 'ice-cream'. We focus heavily on phonemic awareness which is so necessary for a head start in phonics The child is given plenty of opportunities to learn the necessary skills - perfection is not expected in lesson 1. Still, the teacher will look for the development of the necessary skills as the child works through the alphabet. What is included in the Learn Initial Sounds I: Lesson 9? A 33-slide PowerPoint which teaches phonemic awareness, letter/sound correspondence and letter formation along with practice games 5 follow-up worksheets How can the Learn Initial Sounds I: Lesson 9 be used? It can be used in multiple ways: As the child learns each sound, you can use the PowerPoint lesson to reinforce your own lesson It can be sent home for a child to watch with his/her parents after being taught the letter Ii in class - this will then act as revision as well as training the parent as to what is necessary to help the child. Use in class Use at home by parents or for home education Suggested Method: Introduce each letter in turn to your pupil. Have a flashcard of the letter ready. Say each letter's sound to the child and ask him/her to repeat it thrice. Explain that some words begin with this sound. Give an example. Use the lesson as teacher training for yourself, to see how to teach your child, or use it with the child. Choose suitable activities (matching the ability of your child) from the pak of worksheets. Notes are suggestions only - use language appropriate to your pupil and be sure to interact naturally. However, do make sure that you focus on the hearing of the sounds at the beginning of words as this is much overlooked in the quest to help children learn the initial sounds as quickly as possible. With these sight word foldable book, students will practice sight word recognition. Students will use these books to find, write, and read the target sight word! This resource contains foldable books for the sight word: can The pages included in this product are: There are 2 sight word activity foldable books. Both books have a cover page to color, a seek and find activity where students color or dab the sight word, and an area where students will trace the sight word.
