Unit 1 Personal Health Unit 2 Growth and Development Unit 3 Nutrition and Physical Activity Unit 4 Substance Use and Abuse Unit 5 Injury/ Violence Prevention Control and Safety Unit 6 Prevention/Control of Disease Unit 7 Environmental Consumer Health These units can be taught out of order. They are only numbered for your convenience. At the end of each unit, there is an assessment to test students’ understanding. Through using this Health 1st Grade Unit 5: Injury / Violence Prevention and Safety students will learn to identify personal information, safety in their environment, trusted adults in their community, and bullying. Included in this unit: * Students will learn how to be safe in their community, household, and community. * Students will learn the importance of knowing their personal information. * Students will learn how to identify trusted adults in their community. * Students will learn when to call 911. * Students will learn about stranger danger. * Students will learn about bullying and who to talk to if this occurs. At the end of the unit, there is an assessment to check for understanding. A total of 14 pages for Health 1st Grade Unit 5: Injury / Violence Prevention and Safety.
