Math Counting Game – Soccer Style | Learning for Elementary & ESL Similar to Dobble / Spot it! A fast-paced matching game for practicing numbers and visual attention ⚽🔢 This printable math game brings energy and movement into your classroom while helping students build number recognition and quick comparison skills. Based on the well-known "Spot it!" or "Dobble"-style format, this version adds a fun soccer theme that makes counting and comparing numbers more engaging – especially for younger learners. The game works by matching identical images between cards – and there’s always exactly one match per pair. Students need to stay focused, scan quickly, and name what they see. While it feels like a game, they’re actually reinforcing visual perception, number familiarity, and quick decision-making. What’s included: 93 cards in total Three full versions of the game, each with 31 cards Shapes: round, square (easy to cut), and hexagonal formats PDF for printing and optional laminating How I use it in class: This game fits well as a math center, for partner or small group work, or even during indoor break times. I’ve also used it as a warm-up or transition activity – it gets students thinking and interacting right away. You can adjust the pace depending on your group: competitive rounds for fast learners, or slower matching for quieter moments. Students love the soccer theme, and because the same core set is provided in three different formats, I can choose what’s easiest to prep depending on the time I have. The game supports social interaction, cooperation, and focus – and since students often already know how this kind of game works, the learning curve is minimal. Just print, cut, and you’re ready to go. Warm regards, Lernfitness Did You Know? I teach with a certified therapy dog, and together we focus on creating a positive and inspiring learning environment.

Gr 4 and 5 Math: Adding and Subtracting Decimals Quiz and Project
Math, Addition and Subtraction, Addition, Subtraction, Decimals, Grade 4, 5, 6, Quizzes, Quizzes and Tests, Teacher Tools
This download is two items in one! It's perfect for your 4th Grade or 5th Grade math unit on adding and subtracting decimals to the thousandths. 1) The easy-to-use assessment/quiz requires students to estimate before calculating addition and subtraction of decimals to the thousandths. It’s quick and simple to mark out of 20 using the included answer key! I use this piece as a simple artifact to include in my students' math portfolios and to show parents during conferences. 2) The project allows students to plan a 5-day road trip including: o Calculating how much gas they need and how much it will cost (using metric: litres and km). o Finding hotels and calculating the total price per night including taxes. o Finding attractions to visit on the way. o Determining how much to spend on food on the 5-day trip. Grades to Use With: This product is designed for students in Grades 4 and 5 who are learning about decimal operations. It meets standards in both the USA and British Columbia, Canada for Grade 5 students. It could also be used as a review in Grade 6 classes or in middle school special education classrooms. How to Use: 1) I use the assessment at the end of a unit when students are comfortable with lining up decimals to add and subtract. There are some tricky questions where students need to add zeros after the last digit of a number. 2) I use the project over a couple of independent work periods. Students will need access to the internet to research distances, hotels, and attractions. You could also assess the project to see your students' comprehension. What's Included: 6 Page PDF Title Page Decimal Quiz Answer Key 3 Page Road Trip Project with tables and prompts If you enjoy this upper elementary math product, please check many others in my store!
