These addition flash cards are a great way for students to practice their mental math skills. The cards are numbered 0-12 so that students can get a good range of practice. This is a great resource for teachers who want to help their students build fluency in math.

Look at an addition problem printed on a folded card, write it down and solve it on paper, then open the folded card to check whether the answer is correct.
Each card shows an addition problem like 0+11 on the outside; a student solves it mentally or with counters, writes the answer, then folds the card open like a letter to reveal the sum printed inside. The set covers every addition fact with a sum from 11 through 20, giving students immediate, independent feedback without a separate answer key to check against. Setup instructions walk through printing the pages on card stock, cutting along the black lines, and folding each card into its self-checking format, with lamination and a paper clip or clothespin suggested to keep folded cards closed for reuse.
