Whereas textbooks can become outdated in no time, any changes to technology or the world will result in updates to this product. Mixed Questions The mixed questions section of each lesson includes a variation of fivecomprehension, vocabulary and math questions. In addition, key reading strategies are frequently covered including cause & effect, summarizing, compare & contrast and making conclusions. Three of the questions will be MCQs and two will require a written response of some kind. Full answers and example responses appear at the end of the lesson. Spelling & Vocab Each reading passage contains a variety of words and phrases designed for Grade 2-3 students. Spelling and vocab activities provide the opportunity to build fluency with these words. As it can become quite mundane doing the same activities over and over, each lesson in a set will contain a different spelling and vocab activity . Writing Prompts Writing prompts are designed to continue the theme or lessons learned in the story. Students are persuaded to write in a variety of ways and each prompt includes several cues to help. As with the spelling/vocab section, writing prompts will vary. This includes research pieces, reading responses, poetry and creative writing prompts. Full Answer Keys Full answer keys and sample responses are provided so no matter how busy you are, you know you're covered! Mixed question answers provide evidence from the text, math questions contain the relevant workings. Answers are designed for use by the teacher, but also suitable as a handout to the student. The Beginning Addition and Subtraction Math Book is the perfect printable workbook for your students to practice adding and subtracting numbers! It is jam-packed with activity pages that allow the student to add/subtract pictures and numbers, count how many, use a number line and so much more! This book can either be used as a workbook for a child to work through, or it can be used as discrete worksheets. The worksheets are in sequential order with concepts and skills building upon each other and they are intended to be used as such to provide the child with a secure foundation in math skills. These books can be used alone or alongside another math programme for further practice activities. This book follows our Number Worksheets 0 to 5. Suitable for when: Children can count a set of objects up to and including ten objects, and recognise and write the numerals 0 to 10. Objectives To gently lead children into first addition and then subtraction, Outline and steps This is first done by giving exercises in drawing one more/crossing one out. Then the child is introduced to the addition sign, while still adding sets which are visually represented. This further leads on to problems where the child must draw the required number of objects to complete the number problem, The steps are similar for the introduction of subtraction. Children are also introduced to: Adding and subtracting using a number line Number patterns Everyday problems involving addition and subtraction Who can use this Beginning Addition and Subtraction workbook? This book is not just a set of worksheets, it is intended as a maths course and can follow on from our counting 0 to 5 and Counting 6 to 10 workbooks. This is an EDITABLE Sight Words Worksheets Resource that will allow you to create UNLIMITED number of worksheets as many times as you wish. WHAT IS INCLUDED one EDITABLE PDF file to make 10 worksheets at once up to 10-letter words creates limitless number of worksheets Students will: read the sight word color the sight word trace the sight word find the sight words among similar or any words you choose to use cut and paste the letters of the sight word to build it find the sight word in a sentence and write a sentence using the word HOW TO USE Enter the words, letters and sentences in the page of the document in the provided spaces, it takes no more than 5 minutes to do so, even less when you are used to it or when you copy and paste the sentences. Ten different worksheets are automatically generated. What I do is, make a copy every time I use it, include the words used in the name file, and save it. Then if I need to print a page for a specific word, I just search the folder for that word, find the file where it's at and print it. Also, you don't need to feel all the spaces to create worksheets . If you, for example, need pages for 1 or several words only, just feel in those spaces but make sure to add all the 10 words because they are used for the 'Find it' activity. Alternatively, you can go and add words in the missing spaces on the pages themselves. Then print only the pages you need and are filled. The option to add a page itself rather than the first page list, gives you the opportunity to add specific extra words to the 'Find it' activity.
