How to Use This:

When you're teaching a new letter, these coloring and cutting pages can be a great addition to your plans. Hand out the coloring page that coordinates with the focus letter. Help them find the upper and lower case letters and identify the items inside the letters that begin with the letter. Help them brainstorm other things that could have been in the letters. When they're all done, give them scissors and supervise and assist as they cut out their picture.

Blank black-and-white versions have also been included so that students could choose to color in items that begin with the letter of their own choice. This would foster a little more independence and creativity.

These cutting pages are great independent work, center fillers, homework, or just additions to your letter lessons. They would also be fun to display on a bulletin board or in the hallway.
