Finish the Word | Letter of the Week Activity Book
About This Product
Cut out little letters and glue to finish the letter words. These activity pages are a great way to practice fine motor skills while reviewing letter and the sounds they make. This is a great introduction to bringing letters and their sounds into beginning reading and writing skills. A great bridge activity from individual letter sounds to putting sounds together to make words.
How to Use This:
Print activity pages to coordinate with the letter you are teaching. Hand a page to each student. Students will cut out the letter squares on the bottom of the page and then glue onto the question marks to complete each of the words. Help your students sound out the words. This is tricky because not all these words begin with the focus letter. This is good practice to finding and sounding out each letter anywhere you might find it in a word.
These activity pages are great independent work, center fillers, homework, or just additions to your letter lessons. If you are using a letter of the week type of approach, these worksheets would fit right in! You can use them while teaching children at home, small homeschool or co-op groups, or a large preschool or kindergarten class. The cutting and glueing makes this much more fun than just a plain old worksheets!
