What is Included:
This resource includes one card for each of the following 2D shapes for a total of 12 tracing cards: circle, heart, oval, rectangle, diamond/rhombus, square, star, triangle, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, and crescent.
How to Use:
These cards can make a fun write and wipe activity for students to practice drawing 2d shapes. The cards need to be laminated to create this activity.
These cards can be used as shape building mats for students to practice fine motor skills, by supplying small manipulatives, like buttons, mini erasers, or small stickers.
These cards can also be used as a fine motor activity by allow students to use a hole punch to poke holes in the number or use a cotton swab and paint to dot the shapes.
Use these cards as reference cards for a salt or sand tray.
Where to Use:
Morning Tub or Basket - These cards work well as a morning activity for students to work on as their classmates arrive to class.
Writing Center - Place the cards in a writing center for students to practice tracing each shape.
Task Box Activity - These tracing cards fit nicely inside a task box for easy set up, clean up and storage.

These cards are low prep. The teacher just needs to print out the cards and then cut them apart. Laminate the cards to create the write and wipe activity, or for durability when creating the building mats or reference cards. Lamination is not recommended for fine motor activities that use a hole punch or dot painting.
