This Coordinate Plane Lesson - Tables, Graph Points, Predictions is a ready to use 28 page PowerPoint lesson for teaching students how to represent real world and mathematical problems in the coordinate plane. You will see hard to find real world problems using the coordinate plane.

Students will complete tables given a coordinate plane graph and graph points given a table. Students will also be given conceptual (word) problems and asked to use that information to complete a table or to graph points in the coordinate plane. Next students will make a prediction for a new data point based on the table and its given graph or a conceptual problem. Students will also be asked to interpret coordinate values of a point based on the information from the table and graph or a conceptual situation. During the lesson students will also be introduced to a graph break (sqiggly line).

At the end of this Coordinate Plane Lesson - Tables, Graph Points, Predictions lesson is a four question practice quiz for students to show their understanding of the skills learned.
