This is a set of Distributive Property Word Problems.

There are 4 giraffes at the zoo. There are 6 elephants at the zoo as well. How many legs would that be in all?

 

Louise drank 4 glasses of water and 3 sodas every day for 9 days. How many drinks did Louise have altogether?

 

On his walk, Phillip saw 5 mini vans and 4 sports cars. How many wheels did Phillip see altogether?

 

Nancy bought 6 bags of carrots and 2 bags of celery for her rabbits to eat. Each bag of veggies was 8 ounces. How many ounces of veggies did Nancy buy in all?

 

Jared scored 6 three-pointers. Wesley scored 4 three-pointers. How many points did Jared and Wesley score altogether?

 

The Robinson’s bought 4 pumpkins for their front porch and 6 for their back porch. Each pumpkin cost $5. How much did the Robinson’s spend on pumpkins in all?

The third page is a word problem match-up sheet. On this page, students will use the word problems they have solved in the previous activity and determine which equation goes with which.
