About This Product

Cut out cards with letters from the alphabet. Then put together a special envelope for each letter. Put the letter cards into the letter envelope. Each card has a word with the focus letter and a picture for your students to color. Each letter has an envelope template with the focus letter on the front. Vowels come with two sets- one for the long sound and one for the short sound. These pair well with a preschool letter of the week program! Enjoy!

These cute cut out cards help practice coloring, recognizing letters and letter sounds, and practice writing and reading simple words. This project allows young students to celebrate letters and brainstorm words that begin with that letter. This hands on project will also help them practice fine motor control through coloring, cutting, and glueing. Create an envelope full of cute letter cards for each letter of the alphabet!

How to Use This:

When you're teaching a new letter, hand out a page of letter cards and envelope template that coordinates with your focus letter to each student. Have them cut apart each card. Then have then trace each word. You could choose to have them write the focus letter in a different color for emphasis. Then they can color each small picture. Then cut out the envelope template, fold, and glue the flaps where indicated to create an envelope. Have them write their names on the envelope and then color and decorate the letter envelope. When they're all finished reviewing their letter cards, they can store the cards in the envelope!

This activity is great for independent work, center fillers, homework, or just additions to your letter lessons. If you are using a letter of the week type of approach, this activity will fit right in! You can use them while teaching children at home, small homeschool or co-op groups, or a large preschool or kindergarten class. No child can resist so much cutting, coloring, and glueing! What a great hands-on project to keep their minds and hands occupied and learning! These activity pages might be simple and straightforward but can really add a lot to your lessons! I hope you love them!
