French: Celebrations- Cards and Quiz

In this resources file, you will find activities on French celebrations: Les fêtes et les célébrations françaises.

These activities are for learners of French, grade 7-11

It includes:

• Labels / Cards of 24 French celebrations (+ dates) and their English equivalent (.pdf file- 6 pages).

Advice: Print the pdf documents one-sided, cut the labels out (+ laminate to last longer).

Instruction: Each label has a French and an English celebration which do not match. Students must find and align their equivalent from another label to complete the wheel.

• A table showing the solution to the above activity (.pdf file- 2 pages)

• A French calendar template for students to record the French celebrations + answers (.pdf file- 2 pages)

Instruction: Using the completed wheel, students can record the French celebrations onto the calendar

• A Quiz with 25 questions (.pdf file- 2 pages)

Instruction: Students read the sentence describing a celebration and choose the correct one (multiple choice)

• The answers to the quiz (.pdf file- 2 pages)

• A link to an online version of the Quiz using Kahoot (.pdf file with link and instructions)
