Gathering Blue Book Discussion Questions

This is a complete page guide that can be used in small groups or as a whole group.

Diggers- gravediggers

Fen- a town in the community where Diggers and Draggers lived.

Who is Kira and why was she staying with Katrina for four sunrises and four sunsets? 

-She is staying with the body of her mother who died of illness. It sounds so far like it’s some sort of tradition or ritual.

Explain how infants and children were given their names. 

-Young babies are not named right away. Tykes are given one syllable names, then two and three and four as they grow. 

Why would the community think that Kira would be a burden? 

-She was born with a twisted leg.
