About This Product

Discover a great way to explore the fascinating world of skip counting with this interactive 'I Can Count By 10’s to 100 or 120' worksheet! Give your young mathematicians a chance to get comfortable and confident with the hundreds chart or the 120 chart, while they learn to skip count up to 100 (or even 120)!

One way to help kids practice skip counting by 10’s is to have them use a 100 or 120 chart. A 100 or 120 chart has all the numbers from 1-100 or 120 listed in order. To skip count by 10’s using a 100 chart, have your mathematicians find the numbers that are ten numbers apart and highlight them or circle them. So, they would highlight or circle the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 and so on. When students use a highlighter to highlight each number they say in the skip counting sequence, the end result is a useful visual aid for learners to refer to when skip counting.

K.CC.A.1 Count to 100 by ones and by tens.

K.CC.A.2 Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).

1.OA.C.5 Relate counting to addition and subtraction (e.g., by counting on 2 to add 2).

1.NBT.A.1 Count to 120, starting at any number less than 120. In this range, read and write numerals and represent a number of objects with a written numeral.

1.NBT.C.5 Given a two-digit number, mentally find 10 more or 10 less than the number, without having to count; explain the reasoning used.

2.OA.C.3 Determine whether a group of objects (up to 20) has an odd or even number of members, e.g., by pairing objects or counting them by 2s; write an equation to express an even number as a sum of two equal addends.

2.NBT.A.2 Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.
