L'argot- French Slang- Lesson
Why not try something different and exciting with your older students?
This one-hour lesson includes everything you need to get Learners of French excited about learning the language.
This lesson is for students grades 9 to 11 and could be used in class, as taster lessons or in enrichment and after-school clubs.
What your students will do in this lesson:
Students will start by finding the definition of the word "argot" and the context in which it is used.
They will then revise common nouns in French and watch a video to find the slang equivalent.
They will move on to practicing these new words using labels.
Now that students are more familiar with these words, they will practice using them in sentences.
If your students are interested in knowing more, they will have the opportunity to learn about "le verlan".
A short review tasks can be completed by your students either as homework or at the start of the next lesson.
