Morning Meeting Slides to Build Community

Whether you are virtual or in school this year, these slides created especially for Google™ encourage community building whether you are in your classroom or teaching online. Even with distance learning or remote learning you, it is easy to build classroom community with these ready to use add your and your own message slides and it is so important to do so especially now.

One of the most important aspects of teaching, even sometimes more or as important as academic growth, is social emotional growth and building relationships between classmates and you (the teacher). Activities that support classroom community are imperative when teaching the whole child.

I cannot speak enough about the significance of making all students feel welcome and know that they are active members of your classroom community and included. I have used this approach to learning for over 25 plus years and found that building student rapport and classroom community makes a huge difference and fosters a positive classroom community in which everyone feels important, comfortable and safe.

Conducting a virtual morning meeting or in person Morning Meeting with your students will nurture positivity that will last a lifetime as well as all day and continue throughout the year.

Incorporating a quick online morning meeting, as the first activity you do together as a class, will motivate your students to want to come to your virtual classroom or rug and learn with you. Children take ownership of their learning and you are teaching accountability. Each child needs to and will feel welcome everyday!!
