Parts of a Plant word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this parts of a plant puzzle set for my 2nd and 3rd graders during our spring science unit. The kids could point to a flower but kept mixing up which part did what. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like root, stem, leaf, flower, seed, fruit, petal, pollen, and photosynthesis. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary sink in.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up "petal" and "pollen" sometimes. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple flower and seed drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 1st through 4th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick a word and draw a quick sketch of it on the back. The kids actually enjoy these.
