About This Product

If you are looking for engaging math games for your middle school students to complete, I have just the resource for you. If your students are learning about or have mastered ratios, this is a Ratio Monster Puzzle that they will enjoy. This activity is great for 6th – 8th grade students. The objective of the game is for students to correctly draw and color their monster based on the given descriptions.

This is a 1-page printable that features an incomplete monster for students to complete. At the top of the page, there are 8 different descriptions for students to read and complete. An example of the descriptions is he has 2 legs compared to his 5 limbs and his ratio of horns to green spots is 3 to 4.

At the bottom of the page, students will be prompted to finish coloring the monster however they choose. Students will need to add at least 3 new characteristics, while keeping the above ratios true. They can compare 5 things of their own choosing. They should have 2 part-to-part ratios compared to their 5 comparisons. Students will be given the challenge of using all three types of ratio representations as seen above.

I hope you enjoy!
