Spider Counting to 10 Fine Motor Task Cards

Students will have fun counting up to 10 and practicing fine motor skills with these spider themed fine motor cards. These cards allow students to get ample practice counting to 10 with the colorful and fun images centered around spiders. Students will want to complete these cards again and again.

What is Included:

There is one spider themed card for each number 1 through 10. Each clip card includes colorful and bright images to keep students engaged in counting.

How to Use:

Students will take a card. They will look at the spider themed number, and then use playdough (or other small spider shaped manipulatives) to create the correct number of spiders to place on the card. The teacher may also use spider rings as counters.

When to Use:

• Math Center - These cards can be used in a math center by simply placing the cards and playdough inside each center. Students can work independently or with a partner to complete these cards.

• Morning Activity - These cards can be placed inside a morning tub or basket for students to work on as classmates arrive to class.

• Quiet Activity - These cards make a great quiet time activity for students who do not nap.

• Small Group Activity - Teachers can pull aside small groups of students to practice working on counting.

These playdough cards are a low prep activity for teachers to prepare for students. They just need to be printed and cut apart before students can use them. These cards can be stored inside a task box which allows for easy set up, clean up, and storage.

The added fine motor component makes these a perfect activity for students to work on their counting skills as well as improving their hand strength by squeezing and shaping the playdough.
