Types of Plants word search, scramble and crossword

⭐I made this types of plants puzzle set for my 3rd graders during our life science unit. The kids could name a few flowers but got lost when I tried teaching them about ferns, mosses, and conifers. So I put together a word search, a word scramble, and a crossword using words like flowering, conifer, fern, moss, algae, herb, shrub, tree, and seed. Nothing fancy — just puzzles to help the vocabulary stick.

The PDF is four pages. Three puzzles plus one answer key page. The word search works well for quiet time after recess. The scramble gets them talking because they mix up "conifer" and "flowering" sometimes. The crossword I use for partners. I added a couple simple leaf and flower drawings but nothing too busy.

Works for 2nd through 5th grade. Print and go. Sometimes I have early finishers pick one plant type and draw a tiny example on the back. The kids actually enjoy these.
