skip counting by 8s bingo - boards 21-25
Math, Patterns, Early Math, Numbers, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities, Games
Need a fun, engaging activity for practicing skip counting by 8 with your kiddos? This math bingo game is perfect for getting your students focused on skip counting in 8s! Preparation: Print and laminate enough Bingo Boards for each student to have one Optional: print, cut and laminate the Playing Squares Print, cut and laminate the Calling Cards. Lamination is optional, but recommended, as it will ensure that the game remains in good condition and can be used for many years to come! To avoid excessive printing and laminating, the Playing Squares could be replaced with other manipulatives such as buttons or counters. Alternatively, students could mark squares off on their Bingo Boards with dry erase markers and then simply clean the boards again after playing (provided that you have laminated the boards) How to Play: Each student needs a Bingo Board and at least 7 Playing Squares (or other manipulatives or a dry erase marker) Shuffle the Calling Cards and place them in a pile. Draw a Calling Card and call out and/or display the contents of the card. Each student looks on their Bingo Board for a block that matches the Calling Card. If they find one, they cover that block with a Playing Square. Draw a new Calling Card and repeat the process. The game continues until somebody wins. To win, a student must shout out “BINGO!” when they have covered three blocks in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally). If the Calling Cards run out before anybody wins, simply shuffle them again and continue playing. Please note: Sometimes there may be more than one block on the Bingo Board that matches the Calling Card. The student may only cover one block on a turn. Once that turn is over, the Playing Square may not be moved to cover a different block. This resource includes 5 different bingo board, in colour as well as black and white. If you would like more bingo boards to use for your class, you can find them in here I also have other skip counting bingo games available - CLICK HERE to check them out! Writing Center Words & Write-the Room Activity – BEACH
ELA, Writing, Creative Writing, Preschool, Grade 1, 2, Centers, Activities
Help your students write about fun at the beach with these sixteen beach themed words and images for your K-2 classroom Writing Center . Words with images include ball, beach bag, bucket, crab, chair, flippers, sandcastle, seagull, shells, shovel, starfish, swim shorts, swimsuit, surfboard, towel, and umbrella. My students LOVE the Writing Center ! I have lots of tools and “help” available for them, plus these themed word pages which they adore. I actually print two of each, so there is no fuss about having to share, and I laminate them before placing in the Writing Center for durability. Having laminated themed word pages, students can easily grab one and use it to help write their stories. Page 4 of the PDF is for the Writing Center . Print and laminate one or two and place it in the Writing Center for your students to access as needed. Also included are 16 cards for a Write–the–Room activity if you choose to use them. (I have only used this with my Kindergarten class.) These cards are four-per-page, with the same words and images used for the Writing Center . Pages 5-8 of the PDF are cards for use as a Write-the-Room activity. You may wish to laminate for durability to be able to use year-after-year, and use sticky tack (poster putty) to mount it to walls, bookshelves, file cabinets, etc. I find this is easier than tape. On of my grade-level teachers prints in gray scale, tapes them up, and then lets students take them home after use. Whatever works best for you. Recording pages for the Write-the-Room are included on pages 9 and 10. Page 9 is a full-size recording sheet, and page 10 has 2 half-size recording sheets if you use mini-clip boards like I do. Please note - the first three pages are for "packaging" purposes.

How to Carve a Pumpkin | Writing and Sequencing Activity
ELA, Writing, Grade 1, 2, 3, Activities
This fall-themed resource about jack-o-lanterns will engage young writers in learning how to explain a process using sequential “how-to” writing. The materials creatively break down the steps to transform a pumpkin into a festive lantern into a simple sequence designed to motivate emerging students. Various printable templates guide children to color, cut out, organize, and describe the methodology for carving the holiday symbols. The packet incorporates two leveled writing checklists appropriate for kindergarten through early elementary to reinforce core procedural writing skills. Vivid pictorial cards demonstrate pumpkin carving while corresponding vocabulary word cards allow for matching games or displays. A sample how-to paragraph models the format and an autumn-inspired sequencing word bank introduces key transition terms. Primary workbook-style templates encourage students to enumerate or depict the necessary carving tools, safety rules, pumpkin selection criteria, and step-by-step methodology for assembling the holiday decor. Extensions guide young writers to adapt unique carved pumpkin designs or to craft stories starring pumpkin characters. A final draft pumpkin template offers the possibility of actually demonstrating the carving process in class using faux pumpkins. With opportunities to strengthen fine motor skills, sequence events, practice transition words, apply controlled writing, and develop pumpkin-inspired narratives, students gain confidence applying core how-to writing techniques to a seasonal topic that fuels imagination. The cross-disciplinary focus marries science and literacy learning through hands-on engagement around the iconic fall tradition. This versatile resource allows flexible implementation ranging from whole group pumpkin carving demonstrations to individual student work. 1. Introduction As is known by multiple educational agents, the ability to draw points provides multiple benefits in the development of children, especially if they are still young. 2.Objective This fabulous worksheet to review fruits and animals aims at some of the following points that I will explain below: - Develop fine motor skills: By working with dotted lines, your children will develop hand-eye coordination and, above all, they will perfect their fine motor skills. This is based on the fact that these types of activities will require control and precision in the movement of the fingers and hands, which is essential to perform tasks such as fastening buttons, writing and many other activities where we require the coordinated use of the hands. hands. - Cognitively stimulate their minds: By working with review points, we also contribute to the cognitive development of our children, because this type of activities helps them practice their concentration and attention, because they must follow the sequence carefully to avoid making mistakes and achieve almost a fine and as coordinated line as possible. Likewise, this activity will promote planning and mental organization. 3.Order, scheme and stages It is suggested to start the class with a dynamic that encourages your students. You can propose a song, a dynamic related to fruits and animals.
